A funny thing happened on the way to the publisher. I told my 10th grade teacher that I didn't like poetry because it makes you read between the lines. God forbid I should have to think. But, I started to appreciate the lyrics to the music that I liked at that me. The words and images of Jim Morrison, Seals & Crofts, Simon & Garfunkel and others seemed more relevant than "she loves you ya, ya, ya". One influence led to another: the darkness of Edgar Allan Poe, the powerful soliloquies of Shakespeare, the experimental style of e.e. cummings. I tinkered and tried these methods until I developed my own way. This is a book of my search for the answers to the unanswerable questions.
