Richard Harding Davis (1864-1916) was a novelist and journalist famous for covering the Spanish-American War, the Second Boer War, and the First World War. A friend of Theodore Roosevelt, he was an honorary member of the Rough Riders. Charles Dana Gibson used him as a model for the Gibson Man.
