From the lectures any reader will see how closely psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis are interlinked, and how the relatively modern profession of counselling can play an important part in the development of human potential. The essays comprise reflections on disturbance in society from two different eras, together with one on the fundamental requirements of training for counsellors.
