In this volume, the author selects poems written between 1972 and 1996 and adds some more recent work. Since he was a boy, he has sensed how "out of whack" modern ways of living have become. In addition to drawing attention to this fact, his poems point to ways out of the madness. He celebrates love and friendship, the beauty of nature, and the possibility of regaining the ability to see the light of heaven shining in and all around us.
