Joel leaves his mother's home in Toronto to live with his dad and stepmother in Turtle Narrows. On the way he meets a man who shows him a map with three clues. Joel shows fiercely independent ally Paige the drawings and the two team up to match wits with the man, hoping to discover the meaning of the clues before he does.
