Paul was deeply concerned that each believer would progress in his or her Christian experience to the place of "fullness." He states in Ephesians 4:13, "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." His burden was such that it became a priority in his prayer life. As he said in Galatians 4:19, "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you." "The Upward Journey" addresses issues of character, motive, attitude and position that influence our walk with the Lord. There is an order of progression to our growth, but it is not rigid. We can-and often do-move back and forth between steps until all are finally accomplished. To this end, this book will aid each reader to successfully travel the journey to spiritual maturity, "unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."
