Islamic painting is a special exhibition organized by Dr. Ernst Grube, Curator of Islamic Art at the Metropolitan Museum in New York comprising nearly 150 significant paintings and drawings on loan from the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the City art Museum of St. Louis, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Metropolitan NuSeuir of Art, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Pierpont Horgan Library, the Princeton University Library, the University of Michigan Museum of Art, the Wiilian Hayes Fogg Art Museum and the William Rockhill Xelson Gallery of Art.
