PREFACE. IRON, STEEL, AND FEEPROOF CONSTUCTOS contains, in a form convenient for everyday use, a comprehensive digest of information, contributed to the columns of Buuilding World, one of the weekly journals it is my fortune to edit, and supplies concise information on tha general principles and practice of tho art on which it treat. In preparing for publication in book form the mass of relevant mattar contained in the volumes of building world, much of it necessarily had to be re-arranged and re-written. From this cause the writings of several contributors are blended, but it may be said that the greater part of the book consists of articles written by Mr. S. G. N. AIann. lieaders who may desire additional information respecting special details of the matters dealt with in this book, or in. struction on any building trade subjects, should address a question to the Editor of BUILDING WORLD.......
