Sad and lonely, Fran Morton uses the internet to buy 'Sea View', an isolated house in Devon. The farmhouse is as woebegone as she is; and the house has 'baggage'. Reported to have been a holiday-let property its true function was much more sinister and strange people intent on gaining access call on Fran. And is Julian, Fran's only neighbour from further down the cliff, a friend or foe? Support comes from Max, a former police-dog, and glamorous Bella whom Fran hesitantly befriends. Bella says 'Sea View' is the linchpin in the mystery surrounding her husband's death; Fran agrees to help clear his name, putting them and Sea View in deadly danger.
