As a youth I never gave a thought of what I would become when I became a man. And then I was offered a chance to become a warrior. When the headaches became so severe, I was forced to leave the only home I could remember in Maine, and to return to a home in North Carolina, where I had lost childhood memories so long ago. Not wanting to accept the reason I was sent here in the first place, I learned my new friends were going through the same ordeal, but the dreams where horrific and getting worse each day. When the headaches and nose bleeds forced blackouts, I was forced to seek out Luther, the old Indian man. I found more than I bargained for when I was informed I was chosen by Waya to become something that was impossible: a wolf. After I mocked it, laughed at it, and made fun of it, my most feared night came true when I watched myself become that of the wolf. With nowhere to run and hide, I endured the agonizing pain to become what I was meant to be.
