Jake's life is turned upside down when his four year-old brother, Seth, is diagnosed with Autism. Jake, the once popular kid, has now become the target for bullying by the boys in his fifth grade class when Seth enrolls in school. Knowing that his mother is overwhelmed with Seth and his behavioral issues, Jake decides to put on a happy face and suffer in silence. The arrival of a new family to the neighborhood offers a light at the end of the tunnel for both Jake and his mother. Not only is the new family's daughter, Riley, in Jake's class, but their six year-old son, Joey, is Autistic as well. Riley quickly befriends Jake and helps him understand how important his role is in Seth's life. Through their unique friendship, Jake begins to see just how amazing his little brother is and realizes how lucky he is to have Seth in his life.
