While on deck, Dave began to daydream... The summertime had finally come for guys like him. This was Church League Softball, one more chance for Dave to wipe out some of his past failures. The game featured the two best teams in the league, and Dave didn't just want to win, he wanted to beat the tar out of 'em! You see, this game was against his longtime rival and nemesis, Brock Stanton. Dave's train of thought was broken by that all too familiar voice, "Well, if it ain't the strikeout king himself. How you doin', Janzen? I'll give you some credit, at least you showed up for the game. I don't know exactly why. You can't beat us - never have, never will."
