Today many Americans are wondering why they can't find employment and many others can't even find full time jobs with livable wages. The Factory describes the prosperous days in the sixties and seventies when our industrial base provided good paying jobs to the middle class. What has changed our standard of living? It is quite clear that America can never prosper again without rebuilding its industrial base and bringing manufacturing back to America's heartland. Globalization hurt our economy and could possibly decimate the middle class in America. Service jobs with mediocre wages are not the answer. We are no longer satisfied to be consumers; America must have the first choice to make every commodity we consume. The Factory dwells on the good life when manufacturing was king in the heartland and deals with how the reindustrialization mission can be accomplished.
