How can a man, whose long looking out for himself, affect so many lives? Rats, a self made drifter, lives his life running from all his responsibilities and finds himself washed up on a shore after a boating accident. His health is in poor condition and he is cared for by a family who does not know his past. The longer Rat's is with these people, the more he learns about the devestation he created in the past.
