When Fran convinces Larry to go on a cruise to Alaska for their thirty-fifth anniversary, she had no idea what was in store for her. Larry didn't like to travel, but after jumping through some hoops he agrees. As they come close to Alaska, tragedy hits and an iceberg breaks and causes a tsunami. Fran and Larry find themselves separated for the first time in over thirty years. After searching and searching for Larry, Fran finally finds him...in Russia. But due to the traumatic separation Larry doesn't remember who he-or Fran-is. When Jake, as Larry calls himself, makes his way through the strait to Alaska, Fran waits for him in hope of wooing the man she loves, who doesn't quite love her back. As their friendship blossoms, Fran hopes that she can make this confused man fall in love like he did thirty-five years ago.
