Eighteen-year-old Annabelle wished for a normal life, though that was the one thing that was pretty much impossible with a spy for a father and an ex-spy for a mother. Her life soon takes a tragic turn when one of her father's missions goes horribly wrong. On her way to a safe location, men hired by Kato, the criminal Annabelle's father was working against, try to kidnap Annabelle and her mother to use as collateral against her father. After Annabelle and her mother are separated following an explosion, Annabelle must make her way across the country to Washington, where a secure bunker on Mt. Rainier awaits her arrival. She's not completely alone, though. Twenty-year-old spy in training, Keith Warren, has been assigned by her father to protect her. Together, they must do whatever is necessary to reunite her family and help save the country from the dangerous Kato. Overcoming fear and grabbing hold of life has never been so necessary.
