Landon had eosinophilic cells in his small intestines-they are the cells that cause hives to form when you touch poison ivy. In Landon's digestive tract, these cells would overreact when he ate anything he was allergic to. Trisha couldn't find a comprehensive allergy cookbook that could take her through weeks of specialized meals, so she started testing recipes and wrote one.
