Daniel prayed ceaselessly when he was taken captive to Babylon. When made a governor in Babylon, he prayed and gave thanks to the Lord Almighty regularly. The Lord was with Daniel when he was in the lion's den because of prayer. Oftentimes the word prayer is tossed around in our society. People sometimes take for granted the power behind it, and the reverence of the act is degraded.
