Effie Adelaide Maria Albanesi, nee Henderson (1859-1936), better known by her usual pen name of Effie Adelaide Rowlands, was a British novelist. She was the author of more than 250 six-penny (dime) novels. Her works include: Margery Daw (1886), Woman Against Woman (1890), A Conqueror of Fate (1895), The Fault of One (1897), Husband and Foe (1900), Love and Louisa (1902), Selina's Love Story (1904), A Young Man From the Country (1906), Pretty Penelope (1907), Envious Eliza (1909), A Dangerous Woman (1910), Splendid Love (1911) and Olivia Mary (1912).
