Mrs. Kate Seymour MacLean was a Canadian poet. She was born in New York of Quaker descent. She was educated in New York and also taught school for a few years before moving to Canada and marrying a Canadian. Her name was famous in magazines as a writer of verse. Her works include: The Coming of the Princess and Other Poems (1881), Advent Days and Poems of Remembrance (1902) and From the Balcony and Other Poems (1904).
