Madeleine Black was the American author of A Terminal Market System: New York's Most Urgent Need (1912). She was first married to Elmer E. Black and then Howard Elliott. Mrs. Elmer Black was one of those who devoted much of her time to industrial and civic movements. She was an early supporter of the terminal market system in New York. She was a member of the Advisory Board of the New York Terminal Market Commission.
