Mary Charlton was a British novelist and translator. Her works often featured exotic settings and historical romances and were published by the sensationalist Minerva Press. Her works include: The Parisian; or, Genuine Anecdotes of Distinguished and Noble Characters (1794), Andronica; or, The Fugitive Bride (1797), Phedora; or, the Forest of Minski (1798), Rosella; or, Modern Occurrences (1799), The Pirate of Naples (1801), The Wife and the Mistress (1802), The Homicide (1805), Past Events (1824) and Grandeur and Meanness; or, Domestic Persecution (1824).
