Andrew Price Morgan (1836-1907) was a schoolteacher in Dayton, Ohio and a famous mycologist. He had a special interest in Gasteromycetes. His works include: Flora of the Miami Valley, Ohio (1878), Artificial Keys to the Natural Orders of a Flora of the Miami Valley, Ohio (1881), The Mycologic Flora of the Miami Valley, Ohio (1883), North American Geasters (1885), The Genus Geaster (1887), North American Fungi (1890), Two New Genera of Hyphomycetes (1892), Description of a New Phalloid (1892), North American Helicosporae (1892), The Myxomycetes of the Miami Valley, Ohio (1893), New North American Fungi (1895), The Student's Plant Record: Especially Adapted to Wood's Botanies (1896), The Discomycetes of the Miami Valley, Ohio (1902), North American Species of Marasmius (1905), North American Species of Heliomyces (1906), North American Species of Lepiota (1906) and North American Species of Agaricaceae (1907).
