John Wallace Suter (1859-1942) was a graduate of Harvard University and the Episcopal Theological School. He served as Rector of the Church of the Epiphany, Winchester, Massachusetts, for thirty-seven years and as Custodian of the Book of Common Prayer from 1932 to 1942. Suter was author and compiler of several collections of prayers. Rev. Charles Morris Addison (1856-1947) was rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, Stamford, CT. His works include: The Theory and Practice of Mysticism (1918), What is Mysticism? (1923) and Prayers for the Christian Year (1931).
