Sarah Barnwell Elliott (1848-1928) was an American novelist and short story writer. In addition to her novels, Elliott wrote essays, articles, book reviews, poems, biographies and a series of letters describing her European travels. Her works include: The Felmeres (1879), A Simple Heart (1887), Jerry (1891), John Paget (1893), The Durket Sperret (1898), An Incident, and Other Happenings (1899), Sam Houston (1900), The Making of Jane (1901) and His Majesty's Servant (1904).
