Peter (Sheaf) Newell (1862-1924) was an American author and artist, and an innovator in the world of children's book publishing. Amongst his works are: Topsys and Turvys (1893), A Shadow Show (1896), Peter Newell's Pictures and Rhymes (1899), The Hole Book (1908), The Slant Book (1910) and The Rocket Book (1912).
