Mo is just an average 20 something, mixed-race lad with a talent for pool and living off his wits. Bev, his girlfriend, wants him to settle down and 'get a real job' but he dreams of just one big payday to be able to retire early. Something that'll never happen, that is until he meets local kingpin Large Freddie, who sets him on a dangerous quest involving intrigue, international smugglers and PIGEONS! Can Mo use his cunning to keep him and Bev alive long enough to be able to make his dream happen? We meet characters that colour and inform Mo's adventures: Freddie the loveable rogue - or is he? The mysterious Barry - but why so? The enigmatic Lady Boss - what are her priorities? The 'open book' that is Otto - but what of his camaraderie and his appalling secret?
