He volunteered for service in the Royal Air Force and trained as a bomber navigator completing 38 operations. The book is filled with cartoons, drawn at the time, showing a "tongue in cheek” record of his training and operating experiences. A lighter way to recall the life of a wartime "Bomber boy”.
