For the last three years, the young people of Nottinghamshire have consistently created stories and poems of such a high standard that we believe there is no cause for concern for the future of writing - not in the East Midlands anyway! It is a delight to discover new and exciting work from children who have not entered our competition before. Equally, it is rewarding to see the progress made by those who have entered previously as they move upward through the ranks of finalists.
