Drilling on Troubled Land is an action story set in the Venezuelan oilfield and in Texas. Seen through the eyes of Mike LeBlanc, a young American working for an oil drilling company, the novel describes life and work in Venezuela. A dreadful accident suffered by one of Mike's coworkers exposes the dangers that oil drillers face, and the challenging investigation that follows flashes a light on some unpleasant corporate practices before eventually leading to the truth.
