Julie Christie and Anne Watson are students at Welton Academy, a boarding school for girls near San Francisco. Both girls yearn for a mystery to take place, so Anne can solve it and Julie can chronicle their adventure. When one of the teachers at school is murdered, the girls were the last people to see her alive, and the ones to discover her body. Detective Shamrock comes to the school to investigate.
