For centuries, Master Wizard Trebb and the wizards of light have averted hundreds of catastrophes and rescued populations from utter annihilation, but they are weakening in their valiant struggle against darkness. Time is running out for light to win over darkness, but according to ancient prophecy, a champion will arise to defeat Verdex and his legions of dark wizards. Trebb discovers that this champion is an eighteen-year-old girl named Lissa, and he rallies the wizards of light to support her. While Verdex maps out a trap to ensnare Lissa, she and the wizards of light travel through time to historic sites in the Bronx to hold back the tide of chaos and destruction.
