Mostly in all Latin American countries, there is a general norm that rules both drinkable water supply and wastewater discharges. Also, in most cases is specified other different types of water use, as agricultural, industrial and recreational use. To establish a difference among them, the norm specifies the water quality by controlling the physicochemical and bacteriological parameters.
