Dr Bucke, a Canadian, died shortly after his treatise on cosmic consciousness was published in 1901, just as the author's grandmother, Edith Walters, was about to begin her cosmic conscious journey. Edith Walters was the product of the 1904 Welsh Religious Revival that reverberated around the world. An advanced soul, she was to found her own church, The Church of Nazareth, and to teach by personal example and by spiritual interpretation of the Holy Bible what Bucke had expounded via an intellectual treatise: The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.
