Madly in love with her husband Mark, Katia thinks life is perfect. Then her precious daughter Charlotte is born, and Katia's idyllic life begins to change dramatically. Verbal abuse from her husband quickly progresses into physical violence, and before Katia has time to comprehend what's happening, she realises she needs to leave the marriage, but feels stuck.
