From his humble beginnings in Hungary in 1920, Alfred Tibor, sculptor and Holocaust survivor, recounts his battles with discrimination that began in his childhood. He shares his adventures through the ravages of World War II, the restrictions imposed by postwar communism in Hungary, and his determination to live and work in a free society. This amazing celebration of life embraces his pursuit of freedom for himself and his family and his quest for the fulfillment of artistic expression. His attention to detail resounds in his recollections and lives in his works of art. In 2005 he received the Ohioana Pegasus Award for unique and outstanding achievement in the arts and humanities. He was also awarded an Arts Freedom award from the South Side Settlement House of Columbus, Ohio.
