When I first encountered Our Robin is Read in manuscript, I was delighted by the title, and I absolutely loved the snapshots of history from a family's viewpoint, as the round robin letters made the journey to various brothers and sisters in scattered regions of the nation. They provide a perfect picture window on events and concerns on the home front of the greatest generation when staggering social changes were happening. I knew immediately it had to be published.
