Section.80 is the debut studio album by American hip hop recording artist Kendrick Lamar, released exclusively through iTunes on July 2, 2011, under Top Dawg Entertainment. The album is his first studio release, following five mixtapes and an extended-play, and features guest appearances from GLC, Colin Munroe, Ashtro Bot, BJ the Chicago Kid, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and vocals from the late Alori Joh. The production was handled by longtime collaborator Sounwave along with Wyldfyer, Terrace Martin, J. Cole and many more Top Dawg in-house producers from Digi+Phonics. The concept album features lyrical themes delivered by Kendrick such as racism and medication tolerance, and was well-received by contempory music critics. Section.80 was listed as the seventh best album of 2011 by Complex magazine. The album spawned two singles to promote the album; "HiiiPoWeR" and "Ronald Reagan Era (His Evil)".
