Michael Hudson (reporter) (born 1961) is an American investigative journalist and author whose work has focused on the U.S. subprime mortgage industry, Wall Street, financial fraud and corporate whistleblowers. Hudson is a journalist with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), a project of the Center for Public Integrity. Prior to joining ICIJ in January 2012, Hudson covered business and finance as a staff writer at the Center for Public Integrity. Hudson's book The Monster: How a Gang of Predatory Lenders and Wall Street Bankers Fleeced America – and Spawned a Global Crisis, was named 2010 Book of the Year by Baltimore City Paper.
