High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse or formally, the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, is a proposed Royal Commission to be established by the Australian government pursuant to the Royal Commissions Act 1902 (Cth) to inquire into and report upon institutional responses to instances and allegations of child abuse in Australia. The establishment of the Commission followed revelations of child abusers being moved from place to place rather than the nature of their abuse and their crimes being dealt with. There were also revelations that adults failed to act to stop further acts of child abuse. The Commission will examine the history of religious groups, sporting organisations, Scouts and Guides, schools and state institutions.
