Leonid Khabarov (Russian: Леони?д Васи?льевич Хаба?ров; IPA: ) is a Russian ROTC chief, who received broad media attention after he was arrested on coup d'etat charges in 2011. He was later accused of creating a master plot in order to overthrow local authorities in the Ural region of Russia for the purpose of launching a nationwide rebellion. A year has passed since Khabarov was detained; however, no solid evidence in support of the alleged activities has been provided, leading to a campaign spread over the Commonwealth of Independent States in support of his immediate release. The ongoing trial sessions are routinely rescheduled.
