High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! William Bolts (1739–1808) began his career as an employee of the English East India Company but subsequently became an independent merchant. He is also known for his book, Considerations on India Affairs (1772), which detailed the exploitation and despoliation of Bengal by the East India Company (EIC) and its officials which began shortly after the Battle of Plassey in 1757.
