The Popular Front of India (PFI) is a confederation of Muslim organizations in India, including National Development Front, Manitha Neethi Pasarai and Karnataka Forum for Dignity etc. The PFI has about 800,000 members all over the country and claims to advocate for minority and underprivileged groups in India holding demonstrations and marches. The Government of Kerala had claimed that the activities of Popular Front are inimical to the safety of the country and it has connections with the proscribed extremist outfit named SIMI during its argument to ban the organisation's Indian Independence day's commemoration program the "Freedom Parade".
