The UC Irvine Anteaters baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of the University of California, Irvine, located in Irvine, California, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big West Conference since prior to the 2002 season, when UC Irvine revived the program after it had dropped baseball following the 1992 season. Since prior to the 2002 season, the team's home venue has been Cicerone Field, located on UC Irvine's campus. Mike Gillespie has been the program's head coach since prior to the 2008 season. As of the end of the 2012 season, the program has won one College Division and one Division II National Championship. It has appeared in twelve NCAA Tournaments, seven of those in Division I. It has won one regular season conference championship. As of the start of the 2012 Major League Baseball season, 5 former Anteaters have appeared in Major League Baseball.
