The term "German" usually refers to ethnic Germans who immigrated to Argentina from Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, former Yugoslavia and elsewhere in Europe. Some German-Argentines, or their ancestors, originally settled in Brazil, and then later on immigrated to Argentina.
