Zubat evolves into Golbat after gaining enough experience in battle, while Golbat evolves into Crobat when it reaches a certain amount of happiness. Created by Ken Sugimori, Zubat and Golbat first appeared in the video games Pokemon Red and Blue, while Crobat was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
