Juan Carlos del Valle (born 1975, in Mexico City) is a visual artist who looks to portray the transcendental – that which is common to all people – by exploring the human condition, and the expressive possibilities of light. Since his formative years, he has thought of art as the expression of a free spirit, and chose a path that was quite foreign to the established order. On the margins of the academic establishment, he laid a foundation that was independent of global trends. Between 2004 and 2010 he has put on 36 exhibitions in various locations throughout Mexico, the United States and Peru.
