He is a former holder of the British welterweight title and the WBO Inter-continental title at the same weight and presently holds the WBA version of the inter-continental title. In 2009 he was voted Britain's young boxer of the year by the Boxing Writer's club. Brook is also known to be a huge fan of Sheffield United. He is currently ranked by Ring Magazine as the number 3 welterweight in the world behind only Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao and is the number one welterweight in Great Britain.
