High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Dr. Matt Kaeberlein (born 1971) is an American biologist and biogerontologist best known for his research on evolutionarily conserved mechanisms of aging. He is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He obtained his Ph.D. from MIT in 2002 and did his post-doctoral work with Dr. Stanley Fields in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. Dr. Kaeberlein was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2006 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011. He has authored more than 90 publications on the basic biology of aging and has been recognized with several awards, including a Breakthroughs in Gerontology Award, an Alzheimer’s Association New Investigator Award, and an Ellison Medical Foundation New Scholar in Aging Award.
