The Texas Tech Red Raiders college football team competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, representing Texas Tech University in the South Division of the Big 12 Conference. Since the team's inaugural season in 1925, Texas Tech has appeared in 33 post-season bowl games. Texas Tech has a rich tradition in bowl appearances, and has a highly enthusiastic fan base, which has set attendance records at many of their bowl games.
